Who Are We?

The Catpanion team consists of 3 members -- Two programmers and a singular artist!
Our love for cats and passion for video games have brought us together to create this unique project of ours.

Starting off as 3 students studying in the art of game developement, we enjoyed to bring on extra challenges during our studies and took the opportunity to participate in the Global Game Jam of 2024 with the theme of "Make me laugh"... What else is more entertaining and laugh worthy than goofy cats? So we set out on our goal of making a little cat game where the cat will do goofy things that you often see in videos online like breaking glasses or having the zoomies.

As we continued with this idea to create a mini goofy cat game within our 48 hour time limit, we kept talking so many more ideas we wish we could add for this event -- there was so much more potential than what we started with; thus we decided to turn our little game into something much bigger... Catpanion!
